Global Family

We accept food from every part of the world, we accept music from every part of the world and we accept technology from every part of the world. Don’t we?

Similarly, if we start accepting wisdom from every part of the world, the world will be a wonderful place to be in. Today’s problems of terrorism and violence will all go away. We only have these problems because we have not globalised human values or wisdom. Don’t you think so?

Every tradition, every part of the world, has brought to this life something that is very precious – Buddha’s teachings, Guru Nanak Dev’s teachings, Mahavir’s teachings, teachings from the Upanishads, the Gita, the Koran, the Bible…… Every religion points towards one thing and that is human values – friendliness, compassion, love. That is what we are……meditation is diving deep into that state of love that we are.

If every child grows up knowing a little bit about every culture, religion and tradition in the world, everyone will feel a sense of belonging with everybody else in the world. There will be broad understanding – a feeling of a global family. Everyone will feel that we are all a part of a one World family.

A glimpse of our own spirit will break down all the little barriers that we create around our self and it will make us feel at home everywhere we go.

I feel at home with everybody anywhere. We’re all one; so what is the big barrier that we create between ourselves?

We also pretend to be something we’re not. We’re all children. Everyone is child. We should get back to that child-like state that we all still have deep within us. Then we’re free, right?

We communicate with everyone, freely. There is no barrier. We shouldn’t think what the other person is thinking. Let anybody think whatever he (or she) wants to think! Why do we have to bother ourselves?

Thoughts are not permanent. They come and go……….
